Nashville, Tennessee

Hey Again,

Hope you enjoyed my last post, this week is about my time in Nashville.

Now let me tell you it was an adventure just to arrive in the city. I was on the bus from Chicago which would then have a 30-minute layover in Indianapolis before heading to Nashville, Tennessee but of course, that did not go smoothly. There was no bus driver in Indianapolis able to take us meaning I would have to wait 6 hours for the next bus that would take me into the city in the early hours of the morning. That was not happening so I made the last-minute decision to book a flight and fly to Nashville. After this experience, I decided not to use Greyhound buses for the rest of my journey. Let me just say Nashville is a nice city whilst walking down the streets you can hear the country music coming from the bars and restaurants. Sadly, I could only spend one day in the city.

Day 1- 8th August 2022:

Since I was only in the city for a day I tried to make the most of the experience so I woke up early and headed straight to the Country music hall of Fame and Museum. Although I was not the biggest country music fan at the time it was fascinating and changed my opinion.

In the museum, you can view many different displays containing different artefacts from the best artists throughout the years. Some of these included guitars, outfits, awards and records from musicians like Kenny Rodgers, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain, Luke Combs and Taylor Swift.

I would highly recommend the museum as it is interesting to see the different artefacts and learn more about country music. Plus there are always new exhibitions being added.

Once visiting the Country Hall of Fame and Museum, I walked over to the Musician's Hall of Fame and Museum. There are exhibits and artefacts from classic country to rock n roll genres. Some of these exhibits include Jimmy Hendrix, Motown, and L. A and the American studios. Not only is it full of so much memorabilia, but there is also the Grammy museum gallery, an interactive area where visitors can get involved with the recording process.

Trust me, it was one of my favourite aspects of the museum as I got to play all the different instruments like drums, keyboard, and guitar as well as try to DJ and sing in a recording booth which I was awful at.

After visiting the museums I walked around the city of Nashville. Highly recommend going to the city if you are travelling to America.

Next stop Atlanta, Georgia!!

(One of my favourite stops)
