Atlanta, Georgia

 Hey,

Now Atlanta was one of my favourite destinations, when there I decided to take an hour car ride to Covington Georgia because one of my favourite tv shows of all time was filmed in that location.

I spent around 5 days in the city.

Day 1- 9th August 2022

I took a flight from Nashville to Atlanta, then figured out my way around the underground to get to my hotel. After getting settled into my room in the Marriott Marquis Hotel where part of hunger games was filmed in the lobby, I went to get Chipotle for dinner.

The views from my hotel room were insane, especially during sunsets and sunrise.

Day 2- 10th August 2022

Woke up nice and early so I would make it to the Mystic Falls Tour in Covington, Georgia. Will discuss more of this in my next blog post. Before leaving for the trip I had a lovely breakfast sandwich and mocha Frappuccino from Starbucks in the hotel.

Day 3- 11th August 2022

This day was a relaxing day. Since I had been working and travelling for the last couple of months I wanted to give myself time to relax and take everything that happened.

Day 4- 12th August

Now on the fourth day, I went out and explored the city. My first stop was the World of Coca-Cola as I love the drink. Whilst at the location you explore the history of the beverage as well as get up close to the vault where the 135-year secret formula is stored plus view many artefacts. Some of these artefacts include posters, pins and my favourite section advertising, it is fascinating to see the development through the years.

Once going through the museum part visitors are able to view the behind-the-scenes of the bottling process. Ultimately, the best sections are the scent discovery and taste it! In the scent discovery, I was able to try and guess the different smells of ingredients which to be honest I wasn't the best at. Now the best is saved for last which is the Taste it section, this is the area where you can try the various flavours of drinks made by the brand Coca-Cola around the world.

After the World of Coca-Cola, it was time to walk around the city, I headed straight to Centennial Olympic Park home to serving Georgia's legacy of the 1996 Summer Olympic games. Within the park, there is the fountain of rings, Hermes towers,  Gateway of Dreams, commemorative engraved bricks and many more features.

Whilst on my exploration around the city I saw the CNN building, State Farm arena where Atlanta Hawks play and Mercedes- Benz stadium.

Day 5- 13h August 2022

On my last day in the city, I took one last walk around the city and then just relaxed at the hotel. Made sure everything was packed and ready for getting the underground to the airport the next day.

If you are considering going to the USA, I would definitely recommend Atlanta, Georgia. Some other places you can visit in the city are the College football hall of Fame, Georgia Aquarium, Illuminarium and many more attractions.

Next blog will be on my adventure in Covington, Georgia!!!
